Curie class
This week in Curie class we have been writing sentences about Dinosaurs using a scheme called colourful semantics. Colourful Semantics is a system for colour coding sentences according to the role of different words. It can help children to break down sentences and understand the individual meaning of each word and it’s role in the sentence. We have been learning to structure sentences using the format: Who? Doing? What? Where?
An example of this would be: The T-Rex is drinking water at the river.
In Maths we have been finding 100 more and less than a 3 digit number and have been using place value counters to support our learning. We have also enjoyed building different forts with the brand new KitCamp that was delivered this week and even made a house that could fit six children!
