Our Context and Mission
Context
The Education Brief is a core document to shape the educational and organisational development of The Promise School.
The Promise School is a brand-new Free School, which will be an all-through special school for children with SEMH, aged 4-16. It will open in September 2022, initially in temporary accommodation on the sites of Okehampton Community College and St James C of E Primary School, before moving into the purpose-built brand-new school at Easter 2023. The school will initially open with 40 pupils, 19 in KS2 and 21 in KS3, before expanding to 70 pupils for the academic year 2023/24 and 100 pupils in the academic year 2024/25.
The school will serve the West Devon and South Hams areas, with admissions through the local authority, through the EHCP process.
